2011年4月19日，中国外交部发言人洪磊在记者会上说：“据我们了解，近日格尔登寺僧人的生活、佛事活动，一切正常，当地的社会秩序也一切正常，寺院 内的物质供应一切充分。格尔登寺的管委会和公安部门之间很早以前就成立了警寺联防巡逻队，目的是防止不明身份的人员进入寺庙。警寺双方一直十分融洽。”
